Pilot program
A structured pilot, not a free trial.
Seven steps from discovery to production rollout over roughly 60–90 days, with a weekly feedback loop and pricing agreed before we start. For operators with 25–2,500 units.
The process
Discovery → portfolio setup → data import → staff enablement → controlled launch → weekly feedback → production rollout
- Discovery
A 45-minute call on your portfolio shape, current stack, payment rails and pain points. We say plainly whether it is a fit.
- Portfolio setup
Property types, owners and splits, fee models, late-fee policy, lease templates and compliance rules for your jurisdiction.
- Data import
Properties, units, owners, residents and active leases from CSV exports with assisted mapping; historical balances as opening entries.
- Staff enablement
Role setup, two working sessions per role, and a written operating rhythm for your team.
- Controlled launch
One property group goes live: residents invited, first rent cycle, maintenance and inspections in use.
- Weekly feedback
A standing 30-minute session; issues logged and fixed with dates. You talk to the people building the product.
- Production rollout
Remaining properties migrate; accounting close and owner statements run on the platform; pilot pricing carries into the growth plan.
Eligibility
Who we take into a pilot
- Operators with roughly 25–2,500 units: single-family, small multi, multifamily, student, mixed-use
- Third-party managers, owner-operators and affordable-housing operators (HAP / Section 8)
- One accountable owner of the pilot on your side and a team willing to give weekly feedback
- Willing to configure — rules, templates and rails are set up to your policies, not guessed
- Located in the United States (lease templates and compliance rules are US-oriented today)
- Not a fit: portfolios under ~25 units without a growth plan
- Not a fit: commercial-only portfolios (CAM, percentage rent)
- Not a fit: HOA / community-association governance

Pilot questions
What do we need to bring?
CSV exports of properties, units, owners, residents and active leases; your lease template and late-fee policy; a Stripe account if you want live payments during the pilot; and one person who owns the pilot on your side.
Do we run two systems in parallel?
For the controlled launch, yes — one property group on ResidentAxis, the rest where they are. Full cutover happens at production rollout with opening balances reconciled.
What if it does not work out?
The pilot has a defined term and no obligation to continue. Your data is exportable through the API and CSV at any point.
Is pilot pricing different?
Pilot pricing is agreed in writing before onboarding and carries into the growth plan. See the pricing page for how metered services are handled.
