Pilot program

Built for operators with 25 to 2,500 units who are done duct-taping tools together.

A structured onboarding — discovery, portfolio setup, data import, staff enablement, controlled launch, weekly feedback, production rollout — with direct access to the people building the product.

  • Single-family, small multifamily, multifamily, student and mixed-use portfolios
  • Third-party managers and owner-operators
  • Operators with HAP / Section 8 contracts
  • Teams moving off spreadsheets or a legacy suite
  • Willing to give weekly feedback during a 60–90 day pilot

Questions operators ask first

Is ResidentAxis a finished product or a pilot?

ResidentAxis is onboarding new operators through a structured pilot. Core property operations are built and tested module by module; payment rails, screening, lease templates, compliance rules and affordable-housing workflows are configured and validated with each pilot. Every feature page labels what is built, what needs a configured integration, what is in pilot, and what is still planned.

Which portfolio sizes fit?

The pilot program is designed for operators with roughly 25 to 2,500 units: single-family and small multifamily portfolios, third-party managers, owner-operators, and affordable-housing operators running HAP contracts. Larger portfolios are welcome to talk to us; we would scope a phased rollout.

Do residents pay rent through the platform?

Yes, once your payment rails are configured. Card and ACH payments run through Stripe Checkout on your own Stripe account, with signed webhooks posting receipts to the ledger. Zelle transfers go through a manager-confirmed queue. No money moves until you connect an account.

Does it handle Section 8 / HAP leases?

Section 8 / HAP workflows are available for scoped pilots. The pilot configuration covers the contract, tenant and authority shares, receivables, recertification cadence, rent limits and notice windows for your jurisdiction. ResidentAxis does not certify compliance.

Can we bring our data from AppFolio, Buildium, Rent Manager or Yardi?

During a pilot we import properties, units, owners, residents and active leases from CSV exports with assisted mapping. Historical ledgers are imported as opening balances rather than transaction-by-transaction. A self-serve import tool is on the roadmap.

Where is data stored and who can see it?

Each customer is an isolated tenant inside PostgreSQL with row-level security enforced by the database, not just the application. Roles (manager, accounting, leasing, maintenance, owner, resident, vendor) narrow what each person sees; every write is audited. Details are on the security page.

Is there a mobile app?

The web app is responsive for every role today, including the full manager experience. The native iOS and Android release is in pilot preparation; store listings are not yet published.
